Agri Inputs - The Three Axes: Seeds, Fertilizers And Agrochemicals

Seeds, Fertilizers and Agrochemicalsa re three axes of agricultural development not only in India but also the world over. These three agri inpuits are essential and continue to play pivotal roles in maximizing productivity of crops per unit time. Population growth associated with increasing demand for foodgrains andother agricultural produce under the constraints of diminishing per capita arable land and expanding regulatory and environmental concerns needs introspective analysis of readily and built-in safety in the development and commercizliation of agri inputs. An overview of all these aspects, including impact of geneticaly modified (GM) plants on other agri inputs is delineated.
