Engelhard set to acquire Chinese syngas catalysts

CITING INCREASED global demand for cleaner fuels,Engelhard Corp.has acquired,for an undisclosed price,the synthesis gas(syngas)catalysts business of Nanjing Chemical Industry Corp.(NCIC).NCIC is a wholly owned subsidiary of China's Sinopec,and Engelhard will acquire its syngas business operations,catalyst technology and Nanjing-based manufacturing assets.
