Au/Pd alloy nanoclusters stabilized by poly(N-vinylpyr-rolidone)catalyze two different reactions of phenylboronic acid with 4-chlorobenzoic acid at room temperature in a single reaction cycle, cross coupling and metathesis-type homocouplingthat is normally inaccessible through conventional catalysis.
