Food is the source of growth, sustenance and proliferation and the consumption of complete, wholesome food balanced in proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and water, is key to good health. The four major components of a complete diet are macronutri-ents, micronutrients, microbial nutrients and immunonutrients - the last two representing largely an unmet need.
