Indian agrochemicals industry set for double-digit growth; efforts needed for judicious usage

The Indian crop protection chemicals or agrochemicals industry is expected to grow at compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12% to reach $7.5-bn by FY 19 from an estimated $4.25-bn in FY 14. This was revealed in a paper released by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), in association with Tata Strategic Management Group, during a seminar in Chandigarh recently.
