PM dedicates Kochi LNG terminal, calls for a fair pricing mechanism for gas imports

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh dedicated the Rs. 4,200-crore LNG import terminal at Kochi in Kerala to the nation recently. Petronet LNG Ltd. (PLL), India's largest importer of LNG, had in August 2013, commissioned the 5-mtpa LNG import and re-gasification facility at Kochi, after eight years. PLL also has a similar terminal at Dahej in Gujarat with a capacity of 10-mtpa and is setting up a 5-mtpa terminal on the east coast.
