Indian chemicals industry urged to explore global frontiers

The Indian chemical industry should explore joint ventures and acquire assets in the oil and gas rich regions overseas to meet their requirements of feedstock and compete on a global scale, according to Mr. Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. Speaking after inaugurating the eight edition of 'India Chem 2014' exhibition in Mumbai recently, he remarked that the Government would take all necessary steps to boost the confidence of the industry and provide a conducive environment for chemical industry to flourish in India.
