Over 500 delegates attended the 'International Construction Chemical Conference' branded as 'C3' organised by the Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association (CCMA) in Chennai recently. The theme of the conference was 'Effective use of construction chemicals for enduring structures'. The construction chemicals industry in India is currently at a nascent stage but is growing fast. As per available figures, the industry size is estimated at Rs. 1,800 crores and is said to have the potential to grow to Rs. 5,000 crores by 2014. CCMA expects the growth in the construction industry, combined with faster and safer construction, to propel the growth of construction chemicals industry.
