Strategies to overcome India's energy crisis

Government of India has once again, increased the price of petrol and diesel, with the Petroleum Minister reported to be asking for even higher price increase. The government seems to be finding ad hoc solutions for India's energy crisis by keeping on increasing the price of petrol and diesel at regular interval, which is leading to cost-push inflation and adverse chain effects.
