LG Chemicals opts out of BPCL's petrochemicals project in Kochi

South Korean major LG Chemicals has backed out of the Rs. 5,000-crore petrochemicals project that Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) was planning in Kochi, Kerala. "We were in advanced stages of discussions with LG Chemicals. But due to the global economic situation, LG is not keen on this project anymore," informed Mr. R. K. Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, BPCL.
