摘要

The polyester value chain-both in India and globally-is passing through turbulent times as excess capacity and slowing economies have dragged down demand and profitability. However, the long-term prospects for polyester fibre and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) continue to look good, especially in emerging markets like China and India. These were the underlying messages of the deliberations at the 'Indian Polyester 2013' conference organised by the Mumbai-based Elite Conferences P. Ltd. in Mumbai recently.
