Decision-making on science - especially emerging technologies such as nanotechnology - must become more democratic, a new report on science policy has said. A better understanding is needed about the ways in which the public views emerging sciences and technology, particularly nanotechnology, according to the report published by DEEPEN (Deepening Ethical Engagement and Participation with Emerging Nanotechnologies), a three-year project funded by the European Commission.
