Air Liquid to set up nitrogen production unit in Germany

Air Liquide is investing around Euro 10-mn for building a large dedicated production unit in Thalheim near Leipzig (Germany), known as the largest 'solar valley' in Europe. The facility will produce more than 38,000-tpa of nitrogen and cater to rising demand from solar cell manufacturers located in the Thalheim high technology park. The energy efficient unit is expected to start up in 2010.
