UICT bags Rs.24-crore funding from DBT for Centre for Energy Biosciences

The Institute of Chemical Techno-logy,University of Mumbai (UICT),has bagged a Rs.24-crore grant from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT),Ministry of Science and Technology,Government of India,to set up India's first 'Centre for Energy Biosciences' (CEB) at its campus in Matunga (Mumbai).The Centre will aim at developing renewable energy resources for reducing India's rising dependence on petroleum fuels and cut down emission of greenhouse gases.
