'Textile upgradation fund scheme to spur investments in technical textiles'

The Government is working on a slew of initiatives to spur the growth of technical textiles in India. These include establishing textile parks exclusively for technical textiles, building R&D infrastructure & knowledge base and compiling a database on all segments of technical textiles. This was revealed during a seminar on 'Agrotextiles: Emerging opportunities" organised by Office of the Textile Commissioner, SASMIRA in association with FICCI in Mumbai recently.
