Kawaken setting up Japan's first surfactant production unit in India

Japan's Kawaken Fine Chemicals has established with India's Sterling Auxiliaries a joint venture to produce surfactants for toiletry applications in Dahej in (Gujarat).Leveling of the plant site is underway,with construction of production facilities due to begin in early 2008 for completion in the spring and operational startup in the middle of the year,a report published in the Japan Chemical Daily said.
