'Indian biotech industry crosses the US2-bn revenue mark'

India's emerging biotechnology sec-tor crossed the US2-bn mark(nearly Rs.9,000-crore)in fiscal 2007,registering 30% growth over the previous fiscal(FY 2006)at US1.45-bn.And it is well on its way to doubling its turnover to US5-bn by 2010,according to Karnataka Vision Group for Biotechnology Chairperson&Biocon chief,Dr.Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.
