Cefic expects marginal growth in European chemical industry in 2007;moderate slowdown seen in 2008

Cefic,the European Chemical Industry Council,expects output in the chemical industry (excluding pharmaceuticals) to grow by 2.7 per cent in 2007,compared to 2.1 per cent in 2006.The year 2008 may show a modest slowdown,possibly reaching growth of 2.3 per cent,it said in its spring 'Economic Outlook'.
