Advinus and Geneva-based DNDi to develop drugs to treat kala azar

Advinus Therapeutics P.Ltd.has tied up with Geneva-based Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) to discover and develop novel therapies for 'kala azar',a fatal and infectious tropical disease.The collaboration is initially for five years.'This is the first such collaboration in the country for the deadly visceral leishmaniasis (VL)",said Advinus,a Tata group-promoted drug R&D and custom research entity,in a release.
