Dyeing units in Tirupur seek more time to achieve zero effluent discharge

Members of dyeing and bleaching units in Tirupur including those employed in allied industries went on a day's hunger strike on DecembeY 4 to highlight what they called the 'difficult' days faced by the dyeing industry in the wake of the Madras High Court's ruling on implementation of the 'reverse osmosis' treatment system to contain effluent discharge.
