Punjab Chemicals plans to strengthen position in global market

Leading agro-chemical company,Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd,has aggressive plans to reach out to global and domestic markets.The company recently completed two acquisitions,one each in Argentina and the Netherlands,to consolidate its position in North America,Latin America and Central and East Europe.The firm manufactures basic chemicals for industrial use and active ingredients used in crop protection products like insecticides,herbicides and fungicides.Mr.Salil Shroff,Managing Director,said that the company had made the two overseas acquisitions at a total investment of 46.5-mn Euros,to consolidate its position in the global market.
