Uhde to hand over new electrolysis plant at Marl Chemical Park to Vestolit

A new electrolysis plant for the production of chlorine and caustic soda,engineered and built by Uhde for Vestolit,was recently officially opened at Marl Chemical Park,the third biggest chemical site in Germany.The plant was commissioned in April 2007 and is due to be handed over Vestolit shortly.The plant has a production capacity of 250,000-tpa of chlorine,which is used as feedstock at the company's PVC plants,and 280,000-tpa of caustic soda.
