Indian pharma industry to grow ower 13% between 2006 to 2010:Assocham

The domestic pharma market,which consistently grew at 9.5% CAGR in the last five years,is poised to accelerate at 13.6% between 2006-10 to touch a market size of US9.48-bn by 2010,from the present level of little over US5.7-bn,according to a paper brought out by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) and Cygnus,The growth is expected to be driven by new product launches,especially new branded drugs by foreign firms in the next four years.
