Crude oil production ahead of targets;while natural gas output lags

Crude oil production in private and joint venture fields for the month of October,2006 was 0.414-mt,101.39% of the target of 0.404-mt for the month.Total production during the April-October,2006,period was 2.784-mt,59.26% of the target for the fill year.In contrast,natural gas production by private and joint venture fields in the country during October 2006 was 610.785-mcm (million cubic metres),as against the target of 641.483-mcm,indicating a 4.79% slippage against plan projections.
