TN Government urged to create sector-specific industrial parks in chemicals,leather,textiles

A comprehensive study on 'Public-Private Partnership(PPP)in Infrastructure Development for sustainable & inclusive growth in Tamil Nadu(TN)' conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry(Cll)has expressed confidence that the Government of Tamil Nadu will enact an act to provide impetus to the PPP programmes.The report also welcomed the Government of Tamil Nadu's initiative to create an 'Infrastructure Fund' with an initial corpus of Rs.200-crore.Tracking the PPP projects in the State,the study observed that the State has created a strong institutional framework for encouraging PPPs through a variety of successful models.
