American Chemistry Council lauds results of Doha round of WTO negotiations

The American Chemistry Council(ACC)has congratulated US trade negotiators on the successful completion of the Doha Round negotiating framework at the World Trade Organization(WTO)on July 31.In a press release,ACC stated that the framework achieved by the 147 WTO member countries was an important step in the Doha Round's objective to liberalise trade in goods and services around the world.It said that the agreement preserves the ability to negotiate tariff elimination for certain sectors,which was one of the key goals of ACC and the global chemical industry in the Doha Round.
