Bayer MaterialScience announced price increase for its polycarbonates and polycarbonate blends

Effective December 1,2004 Bayer Material Science has announced a price increase of Euro 0.40 per kg in the EMEA (Europe,Middle East,Africa) region for its polycarbonates and polycarbonate blends Makmlon,Apec,Bayblend and Makroblend.This pricing initiative is a result of both strong demand and the necessity to restore margins that have been heavily impacted by rising raw material and energy costs.All existing contractual obligations will be met.
