New NPC chief: BASF mulls multibillion-dollar investment in Iran

BASF has declined to comment on reports that it is discussing investment in a multibillion-dollar project in.southern Iran. Marziyeh Shahdaee, Iran's newly appointed deputy oil minister and managing director of National Petrochemical Co. (NPC; Tehran) and who has replaced Abbas Shari Moqaddam, says that BASF will hold a 60% stake in a petrochemical project in the Parsian Special Industrial Zone, at Assaluyeh, Iran.
