Refiners are running hard and looking for higher-value catalysts to maximize profitability, catalyst makers say. While the slowdown in China could curb growth, strengthening regulations mandating lower sulfur content in fuels globally—particularly with a focus on marine fuels—as well as continued innovation to maximize yields and deal with challenging crudes will help underpin volumes and margins.
