Croda International says that it has acquired Incotec Group (Enkhui-zen, Netherlands), an independent seed-enhancement business, for?155 million ($168.9 million), including debt. Incotec, operating in one of the fastest-growing segments within the crop-care market, develops and supplies a wide range of proprietary and sustainable technologies for vegetable seeds and field crops. Its products and services help improve seed performance, allowing the seed to deliver greater efficacy and functionality to be delivered directly to increase farming yields. Croda's crop-care business has identified seed enhancement as a key market opportunity.
