Fire on vessel carrying equipment likely to delay Petronas's project

Petronas (Kuala Lumpur) says a contractor has notified the company of a fire incident aboard a vessel carrying equipment items to Petronas Chemicals' subsidiary Petronas Chemicals Fertilizer Sabah. The equipment was headed for the $i.5-billion Sabah Ammonia and Urea (Samur) project, one of Petronas Chemicals' main growth projects. The incident disrupted rhe delivery of critical equipment to the project, leading to potential delays, the company says.
