Johnson & Johnson (J&J) says it will reformulate its adult personal care products, removing certain "chemicals of concern" and replacing them with alternatives by 2015. J&J says it is also on track to remove trace amounts of 1,4 dioxane, formaldehyde, and other listed carcinogens found in its baby products worldwide by 2013, according to the consumer advocacy group Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (San Francisco).
