Senate Rejects Bids to Limit EPA's Authority on Climate

U.S. lawmakers have voted on a series of measures intended to limit EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The House, as expected, passed a bill that would limit EPA's GHG authority, but the measure did not garner enough votes to pass the full Congress and clear President Obama's veto authority. Senate lawmakers also rejected a similar GHG amendment to a crucial funding bill prior to that bill's 11th-hour passage on April 8.
