Report: New Applications Drive Growth in U.S. Fluoropolymers

Growth in new applications is driving expansion in the U.S. fluo-ropolymer films market, which is expected to earn revenues of $1.6 billion by 2016, up from just over a billion last year, says a recent report by Frost & Sullivan (London). Fluoropolymers used in films include polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyvinyledene fluoride (PVDF), fluorinated ethylene-propylene (FEP), and polyvinyl fluoride (PVF).
