DSM AGREES ON SALE OF SARLINK ELASTOMERS BUSINESS

DSM says it has agreed to sell Sarlink, a thermoplastic elastomers business and part of the DSM Elastomers unit, to Teknor Apex (Pawtucket, Rl), Financial terms were not disclosed, although DSM says it expects to report a "small" book profit as a result of the sale. Closing of the deal is slated for the fourth quarter of this year, subject to regulatory approval. Sarlink generated sales of more than ?50 million ($65 million) in 2009.
