A robust agreement at next month's United Nations climate summit in Copenhagen-one that puts in place measures to cap greenhouse gas (GHG) in the atmosphere-would be positive for the planet and for the chemical industry as long as there is sufficient focus placed on innovative solutions, leading industry CEOs say. A global regulatory framework is also seen as necessary for the chemical sector if it is to achieve its potential for GHG emission reductions and for developing products, including solar panel materials, that can generate GHG emission savings.
