U.S.Firms to Study China Coal-to-Methanol Venture

Synthesis Energy Systems(SES;Houston),an energy and technology company,says it plans to build a coal-to-methanol plant in China in a joint venture with an undisclosed U.S.-based multinational chemical company.A project development agreement has been signed with the multinational to carry out feasibility studies and devise plans for developing the project.Financing and other details were not disclosed.
