Mosaic Idles Florida Phosphate Facility

Mosaic says it will indefinitely close its phosphate fertilizer production facilities at South Pierce and Green Bay,FL,and its phosphate mine at Fort Green,FL,resulting in the elimination of more than 700 jobs,8% of its total.The facilities will stop production at the end of May.Mosaic says it expects to take an after-tax charge of 300 million-400 million during the fourth quarter.
