State of natural environment in the Tomsk water intake area.

摘要

Some negative processes occurring in the Ob-Tom' interfluve area were revealed. Indications of the degradation of the environment include the lowering of the peat groundwater level, changes in soil water conditions, and drying of shallow peat bogs, and changes in vegetation cover and tree stand productivity. Indication of environmental disturbances based on the state of forest and mire ecosystems revealed a chronological and territorial relationship with the start of operation of the Tomsk water intake and the formation of a cone of depression in the ground water table.
