An experience of designing and using polymer insulators in high-voltage apparatus

摘要

The advantages of polymeric insulators are shown compared with traditional ones including from the point of view of the economics. The technical and design problems of increasing the insulator quality are distinguished. It is noted that the creation of new methods for testing insulators and their diagnostics in the service process are the more urgent tasks for the increase in the reliability of high-voltage apparatus.
