An experimental and analytical method for determining the parameters of asynchronous machines

A method for determining the parameters of asynchronous machines under plant conditions is proposed. The method is based on aГ-shaped equivalent circuit of an asynchronous motor and involves only testing of the ideal idling running of the machine. The calculating algorithm takes account of the internal relation between the parameters to a maximum extent and requires knowledge of the catalogue data and the results of testing of the ideal idling run of the machine. The calculation error is within thc range of 2-5%, which is less than in the case of the electromagnetic analysis method.
