摘要

Analysis is offered of current trends in engine piston design. The authors investigated influence of geometric parameters, such as piston & cylinder liner profiles and diametrical clearance, on hydromechanical characteristics of "piston/cylinder" tribological situation. Certain changes in cylinder shaping are shown to result in improvement of the above characteristics.
