Investigations in taps reliability and its increasing methods are generalized. Proposed failures models and tools rigidity values is a result of big number of statistical tests for machine-and-hand taps (M6-M42) under production conditions at their operation on transfer lines and transfer machines. Investigations results of the tool clamping methods influence on precision of thread to be cut and taps life, taps failures reasons, mathematic failure models as well as optimal wear criteria are presented. Not expensive methods of the taps reliability increasing and ensuring are developed.
