Young Woman With Dysuria and Increased Frequency and Urgency

A 21-year-old woman presents with a 3-day history of dys-uria and increased urinary frequency and urgency. Thesesymptoms began suddenly but have been worsening overthe past few days. On the morning of her visit, she experiencedsome gross hematuria. She denies fever, chills, flank pain, orother systemic symptoms. She has not previously experiencedsimilar or related symptoms.
