The method proposed for analytical estimation of the optimal location, with respect to a joint, of the zone affected by the normally distributed heat source, i.e. medium-pressure glow discharge, is based on analysis of distribution of heat flows in parts joined. The method allows the time consumed for pre-production experimental-technological works to be reduced and waste of expensive materials to be avoided.
