Described is the design of a unit which allows the power rise to he smoothly adjusted by the preset exponential law without switching of the generator during heating, which, provides a saving of power by 15...25 % here, depending on thecharacteristics of the wear-resistant alloy used. The developed unit makes it possible to carry out the induction surfacing of thin steel discs with adjustment by the exponential law under the shop conditions, thus increasing the service life andreliability of serially produced high-frequency generators, in comparison with the multistage surfacing techniques.
