The algorithm has been constructed for assessment of the current deviation of the electrode tip from the axial line of the joint being welded, based on measurement of the moment of time at which a certain functional dependent on the weldingcurrent variation, reaches the extremum value on the axial line of the joint being welded. The algorithm has the property of robustness in relation to variation of the parameters of the welding circuit and the arc welding mode. A number of algorithms areconsidered which provide for correction of the current position of the electrode. The algorithms are based on the adaptive, interval and imprecise approaches.
