摘要

The features of plastic deformation zone formation in welding of elements of variable width in comparison with welding of extended elements of a constant cross section, were investigated. It was found, that the plastic deformation zone isnon-uniformly distributed along the element length. The size of the plastic deformation zone and the stressed state in formation of radial yield hands depend on the rate of change of the rigidity (width) and welding direction - in the direction ofincrease or direction of decrease of element width. Given are the formulas for determination of the size of plastic deformation zone.
