摘要

Effective spatial resolution enhancement method for distributed strain measurement by BOTDR is proposed. According to theoretical analysis, it is proved that the apparent strain x{sub}p observed in an optical fiber partially adhered to a structure is proportional to the true strain a, whose ratio r=x{sub}p/a coincides with the ratio of the adhered length to the spatial resolution defined by the optical pulse width on condition a is small enough, and it is verified experimentally.
