Staphylococcus aureus, specifically methicillin-resistant Saureus (MRSA), is now a ubiquitous pathogen that is a cause of significant morbidity and mortality. Community-acquired MRSA is an even bigger threat because of its increasing prevalence and propensity to spread in the general population. This article will review the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and management strategies pertaining to MRSA.
